More about Julianne

Julianne Cantwell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University where she specialized in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Higher Education from Texas A&M University. Before entering the mental health field, Julianne worked in higher education, working in student affairs and providing career counseling at the university level.

Julianne takes a collaborative approach to therapy and primarily works from client-centered and psychodynamic perspectives. She enjoys helping clients navigate life transitions, relationships, women’s issues, and the challenges of managing expectations. Julianne works with clients to strengthen self-esteem, explore purpose and meaning, and address concerns related to perfectionism, anxiety, and depression. She specializes in working with college students and young adults.

In addition to her love for helping others, Julianne enjoys creative projects, music, and reading. She and her husband live in Dallas with their two dogs, Winston and Ollie. Together, they love traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with their friends and adult children.
